From Frames to Fiction: Celebrating Karen Haase’s New Chapter

At Yorkshire Eyewear, we’ve always believed that the right frame can transform the way someone sees the world. For many years, our co-owner Karen Haase did exactly that, helping people find the perfect fit for their face, their style, and their confidence.

But a couple of years ago, Karen stepped away from the practice to follow a found passion: writing.

What started as a creative pursuit has now grown into something truly remarkable. After years of dedication, imagination, and commitment, Karen, alongside her writing partner (and Yorkshire Eyewear patient) Julie Martin-Jones, has brought not one, but two novels into the world.

We are delighted to celebrate the publication of Breaking The Fence, released on 17th June.

This powerful new book is the sequel to their first novel, Over the Fence, continuing the emotional, sometimes comical and heartwarming journey that has already resonated with readers.

We are incredibly proud to see Karen’s creativity extend beyond eyewear and into storytelling. Her eye for detail, people, and the subtle things that make each individual unique has clearly translated into her writing.
