Spooky Specs: Yorkshire Eyewear’s Halloween Colouring Competition
Halloween is just around the corner, and we’re getting into the spooky spirit at Yorkshire Eyewear!
This October, we’re inviting children to get creative with our very first Spooky Specs Halloween colouring competition, taking place at both our Knaresborough and Howden practices.
We’re looking for some frightfully fabulous new glasses designs, and we need the help of some budding young artists!
What is Spooky Specs?
Spooky Specs is a fun Halloween colouring and design competition for children.
Children can use our Spooky Specs template or design their own pair of spooky glasses completely from scratch.
Whether they’re covered in pumpkins, ghosts, bats, spiders or as much glitter as they can find, we want to see their imaginations come to life!
There are no limits to how spooky, silly or sparkly their design can be.
Who can enter?
There are two age categories:
Key Stage 1: Reception to Year 2
Key Stage 2: Years 3 to 6
There will be one winner from each age group at each practice.
Each winner will receive an Amazon gift card.
Plus, every child who enters will receive a Halloween goodie bag when they return their colouring sheet! 🍬
How can children enter?
There are two easy ways to get an entry sheet.
Pop into one of our practices and collect a Spooky Specs colouring sheet, or download the entry form directly from our website using the form embedded below.
Once you have your sheet, it's time to get creative!
Children can colour in our template or design their own spooky specs from scratch.
Get creative!
Crayons, colouring pencils, pens, paint, glitter and plenty of sparkle are all welcome.
The scarier, sillier or more colourful, the better!
The only thing to remember is that entries should be no larger than A4 size.
Once the design is finished, make sure the entry form is completed with the required contact details and return it to the Yorkshire Eyewear practice you are entering through.
When is the competition?
Entries are open from 1st October until 29th October 2026.
So there’s plenty of time to get the craft box out and create something spook-tacular!
After entries close, winners will be selected for each age category at both practices. Winners will be contacted and prizes will be presented shortly after the competition closes.
