A New Chapter for Yorkshire Eyewear: Our Official Opening in Knaresborough

Although we opened the doors to our new practice in January, yesterday ( 20th February) marked the official grand opening of our new home at 18 Market Place… and what a celebration it was.

After 11 wonderful years serving the Knaresborough community from 65 High Street, this move represents an exciting new chapter for Yorkshire Eyewear.

A Day to Celebrate With Our Community

Practice owners Garrey Haase and Karen Haase, alongside the Yorkshire Eyewear team, were proud to officially welcome the Mayor of Knaresborough, Helen Westmancoat, as well as the town criers, loyal patients, trusted suppliers, friends and supporters.

The atmosphere in Market Place was incredibly special. The official ribbon-cutting gave us the opportunity to pause, celebrate and properly thank the community that has supported us for over a decade.

Seeing so many familiar faces, some who have been with us since day one, was a powerful reminder of why being an independent, community-focused practice means so much to us.

Why We Made the Move

Our new home at 18 Market Place gives us a beautifully designed, spacious environment that reflects who we are today and allows us to continue investing in both advanced clinical technology and patient experience.

The new practice supports our continued commitment to services such as myopia management for children, colourimetry assessments for visual stress, OCT retinal scanning, and a carefully curated collection of bespoke and designer eyewear - all delivered with the personal care we are known for.

Continuing to Care Across Yorkshire

Alongside our Knaresborough practice, we continue to serve patients from our East Yorkshire location in Howden. Both practices share the same ethos: independent eye care built on trust, expertise and genuine community connection.
